22/10/24. Contemporary American Architects. In the 1990’s American Architecture has revealed two distinct trends. One, represented by Frank O. Gehry, Peter Eisenman, Eric Owen Moss and Morphosis, seeks to break away from standard Modernist forms. Others, such as Helmut Jahn and Arquitectonica, have chosen to use the Modernist vocabulary in new ways. This book examines the development of American Architecture in the light of specific examples. It is thus in the sum of the contributions of its outstanding representatives that the most accurate portrait of the current state of American Architecture may be found.
